Orion Trading Systems launches Orion Multi-Trader (OMT)Version 8.0 of its multi-asset trading software
New features and capabilities target equity and futures options traders
Lansing, MI, January 5, 2020 - Orion Trading Systems (OTS) has launched Orion Multi-Trader Version 8.0. This release adds key capabilities that customers have requested.
Multi-leg options trading for equity and futures options
Customers can now display options spread quotes, trade options spreads from a dedicated trade ticket or the SuperDOM ladder, as well as rapidly build spread orders by clicking on quotes in the options chain. The options chain can now display the full array of options Greeks (customizable) and the positions component offers color coding for long and short options positions.
“Our customers have been asking us for better tools to manage their options spread trading,” said Paresh Malde, Co-CEO and Chief Product Officer of Orion Trading Systems. “Customers can not only construct complex spread orders, but display real-time multi-leg options quotes and alert and/or trigger orders based on those quotes. “
Charting enhancements
New charting enhancements in Version 8.0 include additional indicators and display options (previous day high/low indicators, adding visual cues to distinguish between regular and extended trading sessions, better y-axis scaling and display capabilities) and support for CBOE indexes. In addition, charts have been optimized to provide better support for customers who want to display 50 or more charts simultaneously.
Other enhancements
Version 8.0 lets customers float individual workspaces across multiple monitors. (Note - a workspace is a saved layout of individual components.) E.g., customers can display an equity / equity options workspace on one monitor and a futures / futures workspace on a separate monitor. Version 8.0 also supports the Rithmic API V10 including Rithmic’s Leader/Follower capability. Finally, OMT now offers enhanced automated system capability for equity and equity options traders.
